Represented by Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Kingdom emphasized its commitment to dialogue, mediation, and addressing both regional and global challenges.
Prince Faisal highlighted Saudi Arabia’s view of the UN session as an opportunity to fortify the role of international organizations in preserving peace and upholding international law. The Kingdom is advocating for the peaceful resolution of disputes and respect for state sovereignty, alongside the importance of maintaining safe passage through international waterways amid ongoing regional tensions.
A focus on artificial intelligence and sustainable development is also a priority for Saudi Arabia at this year’s assembly. The Kingdom is championing the responsible use of AI to enhance efficiency and spur innovation, aligning with its Vision 2030 goals to diversify its economy and foster new economic sectors.
Saudi Arabia’s involvement in multilateral forums reflects its longstanding membership in the UN since 1945, as it continues to engage in diplomatic efforts to address conflicts in Ukraine, Gaza, and other regions. The Kingdom’s participation underscores its ongoing support for international cooperation in tackling shared global challenges.
