Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have formalized a commitment to enhance their collaboration in research and knowledge exchange through a new memorandum of understanding. This agreement was signed between the King Fahd National Library of Saudi Arabia and the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International, and Energy Studies following discussions held in Riyadh.
The memorandum outlines several initiatives aimed at strengthening ties between the research institutions of the two nations. It includes provisions for the exchange of scientific materials, information, and documentation. Additionally, it facilitates visits by researchers and specialists, fostering direct interaction and collaboration.
Plans under the agreement also involve organizing joint seminars, workshops, and conferences, which are intended to support a vibrant exchange of ideas and knowledge. Furthermore, the development of training programs is a key component, designed to bolster research capabilities and knowledge-sharing efforts across both countries.
This strategic partnership is expected to deepen institutional cooperation, with a focus on preserving, producing, and providing access to knowledge. By aligning their efforts, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain aim to enhance the impact of their research and educational initiatives on a broader scale.
