In a bid to enhance digital transformation and international partnerships, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Al-Swaha, engaged in discussions with UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs, Li Junhua, in New York. The meeting centered around leveraging digital advancements to further the Sustainable Development Goals.
Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Abdulaziz Al-Wasil, was also present during the talks. A key focus was on how digital transformation can serve as a catalyst for achieving global development objectives, underscoring the importance of integrating technology into government operations and public services.
The discussions delved into the prospects of enhancing cooperation in digital governance and emphasized the need to bolster digital capabilities in developing nations. Both parties considered ways to exchange experiences and best practices to foster the development of inclusive and innovative digital services worldwide.
