Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Türkiye have jointly condemned recent Houthi attacks targeting Saudi airports, including a significant strike at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which resulted in civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure. In a unified statement, these nations described the attacks as breaches of international law and threats to Saudi sovereignty, calling for their immediate cessation.

The four countries emphasized their support for Saudi Arabia, aligning with measures taken under the United Nations Charter and international law to safeguard the Kingdom’s security. They held the Houthi group accountable for the attacks and the consequent risks to regional and international peace.

In a separate declaration, Kuwait also condemned the assaults on King Khalid International Airport and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam. It urged the international community to respond and ensure accountability, highlighting the interconnected security of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the broader Gulf region.

Yemen’s Information Minister, Moammar Al-Eryani, echoed the call for international intervention, warning of the dangers these attacks pose to aviation safety. He urged the United Nations Security Council and other international bodies to hold those responsible accountable.

The condemnation follows reports of another incident at King Khalid International Airport, where a projectile hit a passenger terminal, causing a fire and injuries. Saudi aviation authorities are currently assessing the damage and conducting safety inspections. This incident came a day after a previous attack reportedly killed 13 people and injured over 300, heightening concerns about civilian safety and increasing regional tensions.
