Saudi Arabia and India Sign Mutual Short-Stay Visa Exemption Agreement

by admin477351

Saudi Arabia and India have agreed to a mutual short-stay visa exemption arrangement aimed at easing official travel and strengthening bilateral exchanges. The agreement is designed to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and support closer cooperation between the two countries under their strategic partnership framework.

The visa waiver applies to holders of diplomatic, special, and official passports from both nations. By removing the need for short-term visas, the deal will make it easier for government officials and special envoys to travel for meetings, consultations, and joint initiatives.

Officials said the agreement reflects the growing level of trust and collaboration between Saudi Arabia and India. It is expected to improve coordination across political, economic, and diplomatic channels, while also supporting the broader objectives of the India–Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Council.

The move is seen as another step toward deepening ties between the two countries, streamlining official engagement, and enhancing cooperation in key areas of mutual interest.
