In a bid to bolster their technological ties, Saudi Arabia and South Korea have pledged to enhance collaboration in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and technology investments following a series of strategic meetings in Seoul. Key discussions were led by Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Al-Swaha, who was joined by Haytham Al-Ohali, Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, as they engaged with senior South Korean officials.

The meetings centered around the potential for joint efforts in AI, semiconductors, and the strengthening of digital infrastructure, aiming to foster innovation and fortify the digital economy. Additionally, Minister Al-Swaha engaged with the founder and CEO of APL Ventures to discuss avenues for investment, aiming to support Saudi startups and expand their reach in international markets. This interaction underscored Saudi Arabia’s commitment to attracting technology investments and nurturing a vibrant startup ecosystem within the kingdom.
