The Saudi Arabian Cabinet has strongly denounced the recent assaults by Houthi forces on civilian and economic targets in cities including Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran. Labeling these attacks as aggressive acts, the ministers emphasized the kingdom’s right to protect its sovereignty and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents. They also voiced their opposition to Houthi attacks on commercial shipping and international maritime routes in the Red Sea.
Reports indicate that more than 70 individuals, among them women and children, have been injured due to the strikes across various Saudi cities. In response, authorities have been instructed to deliver the highest possible medical care to those affected by the violence.
In addition to addressing the Houthi attacks, the Cabinet reviewed the situation in the Palestinian territories, focusing on Arab initiatives to curtail Israeli activities in Jerusalem and prevent settlement growth. This discussion was part of a broader meeting led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah, where he informed ministers about his latest conversations with leaders from Egypt, Greece, and Oman.
Furthermore, the Cabinet expressed approval for a newly reached agreement between Saudi Arabia and Germany to establish a strategic dialogue. This initiative aims to enhance consultation and coordination efforts between the two nations, fostering stronger bilateral relations.
